The driving force behind expo PetroTrans: innovative potential in the sector. Last year too, there were many exciting new features to discover in Kassel. Three of the innovations were finally awarded the coveted innovation prize by the visitors and the specialist panel of judges.
Award-winning innovations at expo PetroTrans 2018
In 2018, there were once again many outstanding developments. Twelve exhibitors had applied as candidates for the expo PetroTrans Innovation Award. There was however much more at the exhibition booths that was just as deserving. Yet only three could win. A difficult decision which, as well as being up to a specialist panel, was above all in the hands of the trade fair visitors, who voted on the innovations they considered best with their entry cards.
Albrecht Rühle, ornamental metalworker and mineral oil shipper, had forged the awards himself again this year. This time round, he draw his inspiration from the “Man walking to the sky” sculpture in Kassel.

These were the winners:
Kurt Willig GmbH & Co. KG set standards for the future in terms of driving stability, safety and weight with the WTV 2020 – a new cylindrical tanker semi-trailer.
Lindner & Fischer Fahrzeugbau GmbH aroused particular interest with its innovative “FlexiLink” body mounting concept. This means that the stability of the tank body against overturning can be increased by 30 per cent by evenly transferring centrifugal forces from the tank body to the rear and front chassis areas when driving.
Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Esterer GmbH & Co. Fahrzeugaufbauten und Anlagen KG impressed visitors with the first tanker for use on the public highway in which the feed pump for fuel oil or fuel supply is driven electrically – and thus quietly and locally emission-free.
